It could be argued that Devlin DeFrancesco arrived in Canada at the right time this season of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
The driving force of No. 29 BitBuy Honda for Andretti Steinbrenner Autosport is enjoying the strongest stretch of his young career, recording three of his greatest finishes before 4 races.
Next up is this weekend's Honda Indy Toronto, the annual race at Exhibition Place, a short ride across the city from where the Toronto native was born and raised to good condition after weighing just a pound on delivery. It is also the place where he has many household, friends and business supporters who will cheer him on.
The timing of his race in town could not have been higher.
“One hundred percent, you've hit the nail on the head,” DeFrancesco said of the momentum he and his staff have built over the past two months. “Every part is just connecting at the right time now. We just have to put a whole weekend together.”
In Could, DeFrancesco finished thirteenth in the Indianapolis 500 introduced by Gainbridge, and he confirmed the great efficiency with a Twelfth-place end in the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix introduced by Lear.
